About:
Kristin Marguerite Doidge, MA, AMFT, is a compassionate and trauma-informed therapist with extensive experience providing individual, couples, and family therapy. She employs an evidence-based psychodynamic and relational approach tailored to meet each client’s unique emotional and psychological needs. Kristin is deeply dedicated to helping clients navigate life’s challenges and has a particular passion for working with youth, young adults, artists, writers, couples, and women of all ages.

Kristin specializes in addressing issues related to creativity and productivity, depression, anxiety, stress, burnout, chronic illness, career counseling, relationships, and life transitions. She utilizes a holistic and culturally sensitive approach, helping clients improve symptoms, foster deeper connections, and develop greater self-awareness and compassion. Kristin draws from modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and evidence-based anxiety interventions to provide effective and personalized care.

Education and Professional Experience:
Kristin earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University, where she was awarded a merit scholarship. She also holds a Master’s degree in Specialized Journalism from the University of Southern California (USC) and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). Kristin’s background in journalism and communication enriches her therapeutic work, as she has contributed to prestigious outlets such as The Atlantic, Marie Claire, GOOD Magazine, and KCRW.

Professional Affiliations and Credentials:
Kristin is an active member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) and Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology. She is also a member of the Los Angeles Press Club, reflecting her commitment to ongoing professional development and her multidisciplinary expertise.

Outside of Therapy:
Kristin is passionate about fostering growth and healing through meaningful connections. When she’s not working with clients, she enjoys exploring creative pursuits and supporting the artistic and writing communities.
