About:
Sara Fakhriravari, MA, AMFT, is a Marriage and Family Therapist with a passion for helping individuals navigate challenges and achieve personal growth. She specializes in treating anxiety, depression, and trauma and works with clients across all populations. Sara is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a powerful and evidence-based approach for addressing trauma and other distressing life experiences. Her therapeutic approach blends EMDR, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and trauma-informed practices to support clients in reaching their goals while fostering inner peace and meaning.

Sara earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychological Science from the University of California, Irvine, and her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology (MFT) from Pepperdine University. Her work is rooted in evidence-based modalities and a culturally sensitive lens, creating a supportive and inclusive space for her clients.

Born and raised in the U.S. with Persian roots, Sara brings a unique perspective to her practice, incorporating cultural sensitivity into her therapeutic approach. She offers therapy in English, Farsi (Persian), and Spanish, allowing her to connect deeply with clients from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

Outside of Therapy:
When she’s not working with clients, Sara finds joy at the beach, which she describes as her happy place. She enjoys learning new languages and unwinds by watching a good movie. These interests reflect her commitment to balance and self-care, values she encourages in her clients.
