Sasha Dai, AMFT
About:
As a bilingual therapist from Taiwan, Sasha values creating a space where clients feel comfortable, understood, and able to begin sharing at their own pace. To her, therapy is not only about having someone to talk to, but about finding someone who feels safe enough to talk to. She believes cultural identity, family background, and lived experiences all matter, and hopes to create an environment where clients can connect without feeling that they have to explain every part of who they are.
Clinical Focus:
Sasha works with individuals and couples, helping clients better understand relationship patterns, communication, and the ways past experiences influence the present. She believes that when two people choose to be in a relationship, it is no longer only about doing things one person's way, but about learning how to meet each other halfway in a way that feels balanced, respectful, and comfortable for both.
She also has experience working with adolescents in school-based mental health settings, providing therapy, psychoeducation, crisis support, and culturally responsive care for students from diverse backgrounds. In addition to English-speaking clients, she has provided bilingual services for Mandarin-speaking students and families.
Therapeutic Approach:
Sasha's role is not to "fix" clients or their relationships, but to support deeper awareness, clearer communication, and greater agency in the choices they make. Working together, clients explore what feels stuck, what patterns continue to repeat, and what small shifts may help create meaningful change.
She does not believe therapy should follow one formula for every person or relationship. Every client brings unique experiences, identities, and needs, and her goal is to honor each person's story, understand them deeply, and build a genuine therapeutic relationship that allows them to get the most out of therapy. She also believes therapy is an investment in yourself and your relationships, and that meaningful change begins when insight becomes something you are ready to act on.
